AAP success a strong democratic reply to hate politics

New Delhi, 11 Feb 2015: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has commended the extraordinary success of Aam Aadmi Party in the Delhi Assembly elections and termed it as a big incident in the beginning of the year 2015 and a proper democratic response to forces of hate politics and Congress party which distanced itself from the masses and did not provide just governance.

Nusrat Ali, Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind said the big success of Bharatiya Janata Party in the Parliamentary elections last year filled arrogance in leaders, MPs, MLAs and even foot soldiers of BJP. Consequently, they put poll promises and real issues of the country on the back burner and have since been terrorising minorities in the name of so-called terrorism, Love Jihad and Ghar Wapsi, vitiating the atmosphere and making anti-constitution attempts. In this backdrop, the massive victory of Aam Aadmi Party has proved that majority of Delhi people do not like the policies and attitude of BJP. The Delhi Assembly results are expected to influence other states and the people seeking peace and justice there would take right decision.

Secretary General of the Jamaat said that before and during the elections Aam Aadmi Party made hard efforts with seriousness, simplicity and reasoning, which brought them closer to the people. The common people now hope that the government of AAP will resolve the issues of employment, health, education and justice of all sections of the society and will make effective steps for protection of minorities, weaker sections and women, and to end corruption. It is also expected the AAP government will implement value-based politics. It is, therefore, expected that the new government of Delhi will perform according to the aspirations, expectations and needs of the common people.
