1 March 2020, Imphal: The Santhel Community Centre was inaugurated in the presence of about 350 people including 150 women. Human Welfare Foundation Manager – Zahoor Ahmed was the chief guest of the grand function. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Manipur, Organiser – Abdulhalim presided over the program and Ml Riyaz Khan, Muhammad Tarique, Dr. Najimuddin Chishti, Moulana Hayat Ali, Professor Nurul Islam, Moulana Fazlur Rahman were the distinguished guests of honor. The Santhel Community Centre is designed as a model institution for the education and training of 180,000 population covering three assembly constituencies, namely Wabagai, Hiyanglam, and Mayang Imphal. The center conducts daily Quran, Hadith, Literature and Arabic classes. It also provides career guidance and coaching exercises. It is also a center for relief work and material assistance. It is designed to be a service center for all Jamaats, organizations, and individuals in times of need.

The Santhel community rejuvenation center is the only kind of its own in the Mayai Lambi area of Manipur, offering non-sectarian prayer services and holistic development approaches in the light of divine guidance.
At the said function, Zahoor Ahmed spoke of the need to serve all communities and also raise voice against injustice. He also emphasized the importance of making the center for all-round development including health. Janab Abdulhalim expressed the need to be role models of the best community.
