Jamaat expresses concern on media reports where members of a particular community being held responsible by naming some shadowy terror groups

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has strongly condemned the serial blasts and demanded the government to order a high-level enquiry so that the culprits could be brought to book and given exemplary punishment.

In a press statement, Mr. Nusrat Ali, General Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind expressed deep sympathy with the family members of those killed in the blasts and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Stressing on the impartial and fair enquiry into the incident, Mr. Ali expressed serious concern on media reports and statements wherein even before the enquiry, members of a particular community are being held responsible by naming some shadowy terror groups. He said all these efforts are being made to give a particular direction to the investigation. He condemned the media, which soon after the incident began pointing fingers at a particular community.

The media is doing this despite the fact that security agencies have recently taken action against some saffron groups in connection with the blasts in Malegaon, Ajmer, Samjhauta Express and Mecca Masjid, and arrested several persons belonging to saffron groups. Besides, Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has also admitted the existence of terrorism of RSS, BJP and their affiliates. Though he has withdrawn his statement under political pressure, his statement has exposed the truth because Mr. Shinde must have given the statement on the basis of the information provided to him by country’s security and intelligence agencies.
