Jamaat condemns cruel actions of Bangladesh govt

New Delhi, 23 Nov 2015: Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari, Ameer (National President) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, has strongly condemned the hanging of Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid, senior leader of Bangladesh Jamat Islami, and Salahuddin Qadri Chaudhary, leader of Bangladesh Nationalist Party and termed it as the murders of justice and as unjustified killings.

Ameer-e Jamaat said that by executing the leaders of two eminent organizations of Bangladesh – Jamat Islami and BNP – the Bangladesh government has proved before the peace-loving masses of the world that it is committing crime and state terror.

Maulana Umari said that the whole world knows that Awami League leader Hasina Wajid had formed government with the very leaders of Jamat Islami in the past. When at that time she could not see any fault in them, how on earth have the same people become guilty of the 1971 atrocities today so much so that she can’t tolerate even their presence in the country and is implicating innocents in false cases and getting them executed through her own courts?

Maulana Umari reminded Shaikh Hasina Wajid that misuse of powers destroys life of persons here and Hereafter. She, therefore, should give up the path of atrocities and fulfil the requirements of justice and keep from distorting the image of her own country in the world.
