The women’s wing of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind is organising seminars, panel discussions and group meeting with women, particularly those of minority communities, to create awareness about the rights under the Shariat law and their responsibility towards the family.

Jamaat-e-Islami State women’s wing president Sajid Unnisa Begum said on Friday the seminars and discussions that began on December 15 would conclude on December 31. The organisation proposes to cover more than 70 taluk headquarters and important towns and cities in the State.

The seminar would also discuss the status of women in general and Muslims in particular and experts in Shariat laws would deliver lectures.

She said the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind did not want Muslim women to be confined to the four walls of the house.
