Jamaat leadership visits burnt Rohingya Refugee Camp in Delhi

 

New Delhi, 15 April: The top leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) visited the burnt Rohingya Camp in Kalindi Kunj, South Delhi today afternoon. They expressed sympathy with the Rohingya refugees who lost their homes and belongings in a fire that broke out yesterday morning.

 

The delegation was led by JIH Vice President Nusrat Ali and JIH Secretary General – Muhammad Salim Engineer. The delegation enquired and discussed the situation with those affected by the fire and promised every possible help to the Rohingya.

 

Salim Engineer said: “the fire destroyed everything in just 30 minutes as per eyewitnesses. We want an enquiry to be conducted into this incident. We demand that the government offers suitable compensation to the Rohingya refugees and rebuilds their homes”.
