JIH Bihar Organizes a Conference of Muslim Journalists on “Shahadat-e-Haq”

November 17, 2012

Patna, 11 November, 2012: “The importance of media has increased extra-ordinarily in the current age. Today wars are being fought with the pens not weapons. Islam and the ignorance are at confrontation; the war between good and evil is continued. In this situation, we should also make full use of the print and electronic media for supporting the good over the evil. Although, by the grace of Allah, our journalists are fulfilling this duty very well, yet more united and organized efforts are needed.” said Jb Nayyar-uz-zaman, president of JIH Bihar while addressing the journalists here in a conference on the “Shahadat-e-Haq”, a ten days long campaign being run by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.

Today’s conference was started with recitation by brother Anzar Ahmad Sadiq and succeeded by welcome of the guests by Jb Qamar-ul-Huda, convener of the campaign. Telling about the campaign, he said to the journalists that your support to the JIH and its programs is from the beginning and will continue, insha-Allah as it is. This campaign is running among Muslims only so that they might present the witness of Islam by their actions and words.

Senior journalist Jb Rehan Gani said that Shahadat-e-Haq” is the actual objective of the Urdu newspapers and they should be guided by the Quran and Hadith. But unfortunately, they have left this objective for long. Congratulating the JIH Bihar, he said that it has moved us all to remember our actual objective through such a conference of Muslim journalists. Jb Riyaz Azim Abadi, chief editor of ‘The Secular Front’, said that a common journalist has no objective whereas a Muslim journalist has a crystal clear objective in front of him. In spite of all weaknesses Urdu newspapers are playing an important role.

Jb Ajmal Fareed (Chief editor of ‘Qaumi Tanzeem’), Syed Shahbaz (Editor of Urdu daily ‘Rashtriya Sahara’), Sarwar Ahmad (senior journalist), Munawwar Ahmad (representative of ‘The Sangam Daily’), Mehfooz Alam (ETV Urdu), Mohammad Mushtaq (freelance photographer), were among the major personalities in the conference.

Besides the above, Rashid Ahmad (Qaumi Tanzeem), Anzar Ahmad Sadiq (Pindar), Reshma Aftab (Sahara), Aftab Alam (Sahara), Mohammad Shakil (Amin), Javed Alam (Amin), Maqbool Ahmad (Sangam), and Mohammad Anwar (Amin) were also present in the conference.

Dr Zafar Alam managed the conference.
