Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 27: National President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Maulana Syed Jalaaluddin Ansar Umari has called upon central and state governments to sincerely work for establishment of peace and justice in the country.

“The current scenario is such that imperial forces are intervening even in day‐to‐day activities of the nation. Public life is a real trauma because of this. On the other hand Sangh Parivar and its allies are organizing bomb blasts and terror attacks to concoct communal riots. It is hard to deny the role of foreign aids and helps to these divisive forces. The indifference and disinterest shown by the government towards these appalling truths is the worst part of it and it is more apprehending,” said Jamaat chief while addressing a distinguished gathering in Thiruvananthapuram.

Commenting on the arrest of innocent people particularly Muslim youths in terror cases, he said: “Thousands of innocent citizens are put behind the bars imposing different cases. Majority among these are from minority, dalit, tribal and those who fight for their survival. Mainstream political parties should realize that the double‐standard justice will curtail the growth of our democracy. Jamaat will be there in the forefront for all those who are denied of their justice”.

Personalities from different walks of life including religious scholars, political leaders, social activists, educationalists and eminent businessmen were present at the program.
