People must resist racial discrimination: Malik Motasim Khan

October 3, 2019

Kozhikode: Malik Motasim Khan, National Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind opined that people must resist racial discrimination and civil rights abuses of the central government. He was inaugurating the mass meeting organized by Jamaat e Islami Kerala at Kozhikode titled “Citizenship: Kerala unites against fascist terror”. Such agitations are already springing up in different parts of our country. The very values that sustained our great nation are being wrecked by the ruling establishment. Government is concerned only about the land of Kashmir and not its people. Government’s Kashmir policy has seriously dented India’s reputation in the international community. He further stated that Supreme Court’s intervention has thwarted Sangh Parivar’s attempts to project Assam issue as a problem of illegal migration of Muslims.

In his key note address, noted historian Dr. M.G.S Narayanan, stated that country will overcome the current crisis and democracy will dawn again. He called for the setting aside of petty differences while uniting against fascism. MI Abdul Azeez, Jamaat e Islami Kerala Ameer, who presided over the event, said that by joining together one language and one law arguments Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are trying to spread anarchy in the country. He also said that laws intended for national security are being misused for stifling dissent.
