New Delhi: General Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Nusrat Ali has expressed deep sorrow over the brutal death of Khalid Mujahid on way to Lucknow from Faizabad court yesterday. This is not just brutal death of an innocent noble youth but also murder of human rights and outrage of the soul of justice, law and constitution, he said in a press statement today. He strongly demanded the Uttar Pradesh government to award a compensation of Rs one crore to the family of deceased Khalid as he was in the custody of government which could not ensure him justice nor protect his life. He also demanded arrest of the policemen who wrongly arrested him and prosecution of the jail authorities who pushed him to death.
In his statement, Jamaat’s general secretary further said that though the report of RD Nimesh commission on the arrest of Khalid Mujahid and Tariq Qasmi is satisfactory but the commission took long time in preparing the report which was against the demands of justice and the hope of justice ended as the government did not present the report in the assembly even though it was leaked in the media and did not take any effective measure to ensure release of Khalid Mujahid and Tariq Qasmi.
The whole responsibility of mysterious death of Khalid Mujahid rests on the present and previous government of Uttar Pradesh, so by giving adequate compensation to his family and by prosecuting the guilty policemen and jail officials the demands of justice can be met. The general secretary of Jamaat expressed hope that the government of Uttar Pradesh won’t make any delay in the fulfilling these demands and would release all arrested innocent Muslim youths.
Why only Compensation ? The Guilty policemen should be charged for Murder and be tried in a Court of Law. After all Khalid Mujahid was an Indian and hence should get Justice

the official responsible for his illegal arrest and detention must be charged and get arrested for murder. (responsible persons must be tried on same charges on which Khalid Mujahid was arrested) .
How stupid are we as muslims ….we are aware and the whole world knows that khalid mujahid was brutally murdered by the police officials who are the primary cadres of same indian govt …and we dont even feel shame to ask justice ^ from the same people …. imagine soldiers ofvgiraun has killed a muslim and we are going to ask justice from the same firaun ….
