Ready to provide medical institutions and volunteers for the government to combat COVID 19: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Kerala

President, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Kerala Chapter, Ml. Abdul Aziz

Kozhikode: In a press release, the Ameer of Jamaat e Islami Hind Kerala, MI Abdul Aziz said that his organization will cooperate with the government and health department in their efforts to combat COVID 19. The health centers and hospitals run by Jamaat workers will be made available to the government. Educational institutions and volunteers too will be provided for the same.

Government, health volunteers, and society need to work together in this critical situation. Kerala needs to observe the utmost caution to make sure that the spread of the virus does not enter Stage 3.

While combative efforts are effective social, financial and employment sectors are in a crisis. The absence of public transport and the closing of markets have impacted the daily-wager laborers and their families the most. Both the government and the volunteers should bear this in mind.

While the guidelines regarding social distancing should be followed literally, care should be taken to make sure that palliative care and differently-abled patients are not left to fend for themselves.
