Stop atrocities on Islamists from Dhaka to Cairo Ameer-e Jamaat

New Delhi, 19 Feb: Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari, Ameer (National President) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has strongly condemned illegal, immoral and unjustified punishments to leaders of Islamic movement from Dhaka to Cairo. He urged the rulers of Bangladesh and Egypt to desist from unleashing atrocities, to save themselves from the wrath of Allah and adopt the attitude of a Momin (true Muslim).

Ameer-e Jamaat Maulana Umari strongly condemned the death sentence awarded to Abdul Subhan, vice president of Bangladesh Jamaat Islami, by a so-called war crime tribunal and false cases lodged against illegally ousted President of Egypt Mohammad Morsi, chief of Muslim Brotherhood Muhammad Badie and hundreds of people. He termed these actions against them un-Islamic. Unfortunate are those who hatch conspiracy against respected personalities of their own country and take to unjustified and unwarranted ways of revenge, and thus cause harm to their own country, said Maulana Umari and asked them to desist from it.

Maulana Umari sought attention of the leaders of the two countries to the fact that death sentences and other punishments by so-called tribunals and courts to innocents in false cases are extraordinarily affecting the global image of the two countries. They, therefore, should immediately stop such cruel actions in the interest of their county and people.
