The programme started with the Tilawat-e-Quran by Qari Abdul Mannan. After this, Maulana Muhammad Rafiq Qasmi, Secretary of Jamaat presented the Hadiya-e-Tabriq (congratulations) to all Haj Pilgrims. Some participants presented their impressions and suggestions to the audience about the Hajj-e-Baitullah

At last, Maulana Jalaluddin Umri, Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind addressed the audience and delivered his scholarly speech to them. With the references from the Quran and Hadith, Maulana Umri explained the objectives and importance of Haj. He said that if a person’s Haj is accomplished as per the rules and methods of Quran and Hadith, the person becomes like a newborn child who is pure of all evils. Maulana emphasized on that the Haj in fact is a great example of sacrifice. The different steps of Haj are actually the marks of the scarification of Hazrat Abraham (pbuh), Hazrat Hajra, and Hazrat Ismael (pbuh). We should develop the spirit of sacrifice in us with the help of this great method of worship.
