A Pavilion of Human Welfare Trust was sutup at the recently concluded "Pravasi Bhartiya Divas" in Chennai. It was an effort to appraise and make the diasporic Indian community participate in the Trust's activities and projects.
A confederation body of NGOs formed for social works
An umbrella body of state and national level NGOs working for various social-economic fields with the name 'Human Welfare Foundation' was formed under the leadership of Dr Syed Hamid, by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) here in New Delhi on 27th July 2008.
