JIH Hosts Islamic Education Training for Madrasa Teachers

Islamic Education Training Program in Vijayawada, organized by the Markazi Taleemi Board, with discussions on part-time madrasas and teaching methods.

Vijayawada: A one-day orientation and training program took place in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, under the Markazi Taleemi Board, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. The event focused on highlighting the importance of part-time madrasas and offering guidance and training to their teachers.

Notable Participants

Prominent figures such as Amir-e-Halqa of Andhra Pradesh, Mohammad Rafiq; Assistant Amir-e-Halqa, Shaukat Faheem; National Coordinator of Islamiyat Deeni Makatib, Maulana Inamullah Falahi; and others attended. They contributed to the discussion and training sessions.

Curriculum and Teaching Methods

Maulana Inamullah Falahi introduced a four-volume Islamic Studies curriculum. It includes lessons on Quranic recitation (Nazra), memorization of selected Surahs, prayers, Hadith, Seerah, Fiqh, history, and social studies. He also demonstrated effective teaching techniques using a blackboard.

Educational Significance

Maulana Mujahid Khan Umari emphasized the critical role of education in the growth of young minds. Shaukat Faheem followed with a talk on the vision and importance of part-time madrasas. He noted that these institutions aim to impart Islamic teachings and social awareness in a limited time frame.

Current State of Madrasas

Shakir Hussain, Secretary of Education, discussed the current status of part-time madrasas in Andhra Pradesh. He mentioned that many madrasas are functioning well, though systematic documentation of their operations is still in progress.

Connecting Knowledge with Life

Mohammad Kareemuddin delivered an insightful speech on aligning religious knowledge with practical life. He shared ways to integrate Islamic teachings into students’ everyday routines.

Teaching Methods Based on Psychology

Maulana Mohammad Imran Nadwi stressed the importance of adapting teaching methods to suit the psychological age and mental level of students. He explained how understanding children’s psychological development can improve their education.

Closing Remarks and Future Plans

The program concluded with remarks by Mohammad Rafiq and an invocation led by Maulana Inamullah Falahi. A follow-up meeting discussed the responsibilities and future plans of the Andhra Pradesh Part-Time Committee.
