JIH leaders at Shariah Council’s website launching programme . New Delhi, 7th July 2021: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) President Syed Sadatullah Husaini today launched the official website of the Shariah Council. It is a consultative body set up by JIH for offering religious guidance to Muslims.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, the JIH president has said that the website will play an important role in guiding the Muslim community on the Shariah related matters. He stated that he visited and saw a number of websites on Islamic jurisprudence and fatwas. However, Mr. Husaini added, “this is the third website after Darul Uloom Deoband and IslamQA which has such a large collection of Fatwas and Islamic rulings.”
Giving brief introduction about the website, Secretary of Shariah Council, Dr. Muhammad Raziul Islam Nadvi said, “apart from fatwas and jurisprudential guidance, this website also contains a large collection of books and videos related to the Islamic jurisprudence. There is also an option for seeking consultation on new issues.”
Praising the services rendered by the Shariah Council since its inception in 2019, Dr. Nadvi said that it had provided a large number of Shariah guidance and advisories on various important issued. “Now the scope of its services will be widened through the website,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, chairman of the Council, renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari said that besides fatwas, the scholars of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind had written books and articles on jurisprudential topics, so attention should also be paid to their compilation and introduction.
JIH Vice Presidents, Secretaries and other officials were also present on the occasion.
