New Delhi, 29 April 2021: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) President Syed Sadatullah Husaini has appealed to the cadre, sympathisers and the people not to circulate over-exaggerated videos or posts about the organisation and its leaders.

In a message, the JIH president has stated that some videos and posts are in circulation on social media regarding the work and activities of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind and also regarding his speeches, writings, and efforts. He said, “they are highly exaggerated and hyperbolic and in bad taste. Such exaggeration, glorification of individuals, ridiculing others and comparing our work with others; all such things do not conform to the Jamaat’s culture and values. We consider it yellow journalism.”

Mr. Husaini said, “neither JIH nor our like-minded institutions ever produce such things, nor do they encourage such content. Our office has made to remove many posts by making personal requests but the flow of such posts is not stopping.”

Urging all his cadres not to share such videos and such posts on the social media, the JIH president added, “don’t spread it on Facebook or Twitter or WhatsApp etc. We should also ask others not to post such things. Factual data, facts, and figures related to the actual efforts of JIH can be shared for the knowledge and information of the public. However, there should not be any exaggeration or glorification of any individual. Please spread my appeal to as many people as possible.”

He prayed Allah Almighty to grant him and all of us the strength to struggle in His cause with sincerity and piety and accept their humble efforts.
