Bhopal, 19 Nov 2014: We should have courage to proudly say we are Muslim and this should be evident from our own life. The world should know that Muslims do not tell lies, they are not dishonest, they do not deceive, they do not take interests, they do not assault women and they keep themselves away from immoral acts. These were expressions of Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Omari, Ameer (National President) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind while speaking at a program here.

Talking about unrest and anarchy in the world, he said disobedience of Allah lies at the root of the problems.

“Anarchy has erupted in the world and the Muslim Ummah is on the target everywhere. Many hold Islam responsible for the anarchy. The actual reason of anarchy in the world is disobedience of Allah. Man has become God or has made others God,” said Maulana Omari while speaking at the Islamic Knowledge Program organized by Shahadat-e-Haq Human Welfare Trust here at Moti Masjid in Bhopal on 15 Nov.

He and Secretary General of Jamaat Nusrat Ali were in the city to attend the three-day program of Arkan of Jamaat in Madhya Pradesh.

In an interview to Nadeem Urdu daily here, Ameer-e Jamaat lashed out at the attempts of Sangh Parivar to absorb minorities in Hindu culture.

“It appears as strategy of RSS that on one hand Prime Minister Narendra Modi says Muslims are loyal to the country; they live and die for the country, but at lower levels of Sangh Parivar, efforts are on to absorb Muslims in Hindu culture. It is unconstitutional to call all citizens of the country as Hindu. They should be called Hindustani or Indian. Muslims and other minorities have been recognized in the Constitution also. The Constitution has also recognized various religions and their Personal Laws,” he said in the interview published on 15 Nov.

Maulana Omari said RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement that all citizens including Muslims of India are Hindu is absurd and against constitution.
