Mapusa: Amid the summer heat Goa witnessed a series of Eid Milan to bring joy and comfort to one and all. Eid Milan programs were organized at Curchorem, Margao, and Panjim recently.

Dr Mohammad Salim Engineer National Vice President of Jamaat e Islami Hind was present at the Eid Milan organised on 24th April at Mapusa City of Goa.
Senior journalist, activist, and author Mr Sandesh Prabhudesai speaking at the Eid Milan said this event is significant not only at the state level but will have a nationwide impact. He said amid hate such multi-faith Eid Milan is a blessing for a diverse and plural country like India.

Dr M.S Engineer addressing a large gathering of the Goan community from the tourist capital city of Mapusa said Eid is a day of celebration and this Eid Milan is an opportunity for people to know each other and their communities better. He said a diverse country like India needs to organize such get-togethers to help bridge the gap between communities and remove distrust that is created by WhatsApp University.

Local MLA adv Carlos Fareira, Rajan Ghate, and other prominent citizens were present. Other speakers for the occasion were Fr Peter Melo and Asif Hussain State President of Jamaat e Islami Hind.
