24 July, New Delhi: A five day special session of the Markazi Majlis e Shoora (Central Advisory Council) Jamaat-e-Islami Hind began in Goa yesterday. The session is being chaired by the Ameer (President) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari. Besides issues pertaining to the organization, the Markazi Shoora will also deliberate on national and international issues.

The members of the Markazi Shoora include Syed Sadatullah Husaini, Mohammad Salim Engineer, Nusrat Ali, S. Ameenul Hasan, Muhammad Jafar, Dr. Hasan Raza, Dr. S. Q. R. Ilyas, T.Arif Ali, Dr. Mohd. Rafat, Maulana Mohd. Yusuf Islahi , Ejaz Ahmed Aslam, Maulana Waliuallah Sayeedi Falahi, H. Abdul Raqeeb, T. K. Abdullah, Mujtaba Farooq, Iqbal Mulla, Abdul Jabbar Siddiqui, and V K Ali. All members of the Shoora are in attendance except Maulana Yusuf Islahi who is abroad and Janab Abdur Raqeeb Sb who will be joining today.
