A team of school girls from Stuttgart Germany visited the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind headquarters in New Delhi on Friday 6th November. They were in India on a cultural exchange program with Mount Carmel School – New Delhi. With the advent of Syrian refugees in Germany, there is a lot of tension amongst native Germans and the school wanted the younger generation to be exposed to various cultures and religions. The students were inquisitive about the religion and culture of Muslims and asked various questions pertaining to Muslims and their beliefs and practice. The Secretary General of Jamaat Engineer Muhammad Salim introduced the organization and briefed the delegation on the salient features of Islam. The delegation was shown around the Markaz campus with a visit to the Ishat e Islam masjid and the Milli Model School. The event was coordinated by Janab Iqbal Mulla – National Dawah Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.

A great need understand the basic principles and fundamentals of various religions, and try to understand each other’s religion and eclipse the negative image of Islam among masses.
It would have been better had a lady wing leader of Jamaat-e-Islami addressed the German delegation.
