New Delhi, October 14, Mohammad Salim Engineer, Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has strongly condemned the incident of misbehaviour, pouring of ink on his face and threat of facing dire consequences by Shiv Sena workers to Mr. Sudhindra Kulkarani in Mumbai if he organises the release of book by Mr. Khursheed Kasoori the former foreign minister of Pakistan.

Salim Engineer further said in his statement that this trend of intolerance, taking law in hands, adopting violent and fascist ways to protest or expressing disagreement, is very dangerous for our country and mutual trust and amity in our society. It is alarming that such incidents have become more frequent in recent past. It is disappointing that no proper and timely action has been taken against the criminals for this incidents and hence such incidents are repeated. Salim Engineer demanded from the state government take the proper and prompt action against the miscreants without delay so that no such incident takes place in future.
