New Delhi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) has formed a national federation of its youth wings, working in different states of the country. Recently, the board of National Federation of Youth Movement (NFYM) held its meeting in Delhi under the patronage of JIH President Syed Sadatullah Husaini, and elected Mr.Suhaib CT from Kerala as its first all India chairman and Mr. Muhammed Umar Khan of Maharashtra as its first General Secretary. Mr.Suhaib is currently serving as the President of Solidarity Youth Movement Kerala while Mr.Umar is the president of the Youth wing, JIH Maharashtra.
According to one of its office bearers, National federation of youth movement is a federation of as many as 11 states youth wings of JIH which shall majorly facilitate youth on three fronts – sharing cross state experience, taking a stand on national issues and leading youth and representing youth leadership on various platforms.
The youth wings, which are working directly under the JIH state units, have their own state council presidents and secretaries. Now, all state wings have a national federal board, chairman and General Secretary. The newly formed federation will also comprise a federal board having representatives from all state units of the youth wings for a two-year term.
