New Delhi: Mr Nusrat Ali, General Secretary, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has expressed deep sorrow over the sentence of life imprisonment awarded by a Delhi court to Shahzad Ahmad, the lone accused of the fake Batla House encounter. While expressing deep dissatisfaction with the judgment, Mr Nusrat Ali said lakhs of people including non Muslims have termed the encounter as fake from the day one and have been demanding a high-level probe into the shootout. But it is sad that neither the government heeded to the demand nor did the people get justice from the court. Mr. Nusrat Ali expressed hope that the innocence of Shahzad will be proved in the high court and he will get justice.
