Mathura: A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind met Prof. Zaheer Hassan, the President of the Masjid Committee of Shahi Masjid Eidgah, Mathura at his residence. Since outsiders are currently prohibited from entering the Eidgah, the JIH delegation restricted itself to viewing the Eidgah from outside. However, there was an opportunity to go inside the Jama Masjid and offer two rakats of nafil prayers.

The JIH delegation also met some other members of the Masjid Committee at a separate location and discussed the status of their case in detail. The JIH delegation expressed solidarity with the committee, advised them to be patient and assured to offer their possible support. The JIH delegation was led by JIH Secretaries Maulana Shafi Madani and Abdul Rafiq along with Assistant Secretary Inamur Rahman.
