Sikar, Rajasthan: A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Sikar, led by its city president Mohammad Arif, recently welcomed newly appointed District Collector Qamar Ul Zaman Chaudhary with a bouquet. The meeting served as an opportunity for the delegation to introduce their organization’s work and pledge their support in maintaining peace and community harmony in the district.

Collector Chaudhary expressed his commitment to upholding peace and assured the delegation that no effort would be spared in achieving this goal. He encouraged open communication and invited feedback on the administration’s work, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in improving the system.

The delegation included former JIH state president Khurshid Hussain, Khalid Akhtar, Usman Ghani, and others.

Chaudhary took charge of Sikar District earlier on Monday and outlined his initial plans in a media interaction. He vowed to first create an action plan for the district by gathering input from officials, public representatives, and the general public. This, he said, would help identify key issues and formulate effective solutions.

Chaudhary’s appointment comes amidst a wave of transfers following the state government change. He previously served as Dausa District Collector, where he garnered national attention for his efforts in child safety awareness. He led a team in educating over 3.5 lakh children in 2600 schools about good and bad touch, earning a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Before Dausa, Chaudhary, a 2014-batch IAS officer, held positions like Commissioner of Jodhpur Development Authority and SDM of Girwa Udaipur. He began his career in Rajasthan as an Assistant Collector in Bharatpur. Interestingly, Chaudhary’s wife, Farha Hussain, is also an IRS officer and the daughter of retired IAS officer Ashfaq Hussain, making him a son-in-law of Rajasthan.

Chaudhary’s appointment marks a new chapter for Sikar District, and his commitment to collaboration and public feedback offers promising prospects for progress and harmonious co-existence.
