Jamaat-e-Islami Hind launches ‘Children’s Islamic Organization’ (CIO)

02 Nov, New Delhi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has established the ‘Children Islamic Organization’ (CIO) at the national level with its headquarters in New Delhi. CIO aims to make children capable, trained, and skilled and to develop leadership skills in them. The President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Syed Sadatullah Husaini, JIH Vice President, S Ameenul Hasan, JIH Secretary, Markazi Talimi Board Syed Tanveer Ahmed and the JIH Delhi Pradesh President Salimullah Khan along with various Jamaat leaders participated in the inaugural program.

On this occasion, Syed Sadatullah Husaini highlighted the aims and objectives of the ‘Children’s Islamic Organization’ (CIO) and said, “This organization is for children. Its members, leaders, and workers will be children. Children will run this organization. Millions of children from all over the country including Delhi should become members of this organization. Children can be part of the enrolment process of CIO and can invite their friends, colleagues, and acquaintances”. Addressing the children, the JIH President said, “Being a Muslim, you should become a good person yourself and make other children good, along with that you also have to become a talented person and make other children also talented and the show your talent in every field”. During his speech, the Jamaat child mentioned his anguish and and grief for the children of Palestine who are suffering from Israeli brutality and asked the children to pray for their safety and security and resolve that when they grow up, they will not allow any cruelty and injustice anywhere in the world.

The Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, S. Ameenul Hasan said in his speech, “We have long experience in running children’s organizations. We have been working with them under different names. However, now it is being formalized as an organization that will be at the regional, state, and national levels, all of whom will be empowered to make decisions at their respective levels. However, it will continue to be guided by Markaz. CIO aims to identify the child’s natural ability and develop it. The aim is that these children become a valuable asset for the nation.” The JIH Vice President also explained to the children the design and meaning of the ‘CIO’ logo.

 

A large number of children from different parts of the country participated in the program online. Many children presented literary and cultural programs to entertain the participants. The program was organized by JIH Assistant Secretary Ms Mubashera Firdous. The program ended with a vote of thanks by JIH Delhi Pradesh President, Salimullah Khan.
