New Delhi, March 5, 2021: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) President Syed Sadatullah Husaini has released a book on the life and thoughts of the prominent Islamic scholar, prolific writer and the senior ideologue of JIH, Dr. Mohammad Rafat here at a ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, the JIH President has called Dr. Rafat a prominent figure of the community and the Islamic movement of the country and the world.  Paying homage to the services of the late scholar, Mr.Husaini said that the purpose of holding condolences meetings and seminars on a personality should be to embrace his virtues and characteristics.

The book is the collection of articles and papers in Urdu language, presented by the scholars, academicians and leaders of the Muslim organisations, at a one-day international seminar on the life and thoughts of Dr. Rafat on Jan. 31, 2021. The JIH President had then presided over the seminar, which was organised by the prominent research institute ‘Idara Tahqeeq o Tasneef Islami, ITTI, Aligarh, UP. Dr. Rafat, who was one of the founders of the ITTI, Aligarh passed away on January 8, 2021.

On this occasion, head of the ITTI and former JIH President Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari, ITTI Secretary Maulana Ashhad Jamal Nadvi, Chairman of Islamic Academy, Dr. Hassan Raza and all India President of the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) Mr. Salman Ahmed also spoke.  JIH Secretary Dr Razi-ul-Islam Nadvi gave light on the contents of the book.  Secretary of the Islamic Academy Dr. Rizwan Ahmed Rafiqi moderated the event.  A copy of the book was gifted to all the participants.
