All parties corrupt; God-fearing rule only solution

December 2, 2010

Mangalore, December 2: A new generation should come up to question the corrupt political system and tame the corrupt politicians, said Mohammed Kunnhi, Dakshina Kannada District Convener of Youth Wing, Jama’ath-e-Islami Hind (YW-JIH). He was addressing a public awareness meet organised by the district unit of YW-JIH under the central theme “Eradicate Corruption; Save Country” in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner, here on Thursday evening. Kunnhi said there is no alternative option in the states or centre to replace the ruling corrupt parties as all parties are associated with corruption, scandals and crimes. Stating that political parties are misleading the youth through their foul policies such as communalism and fake development, he said if the younger generation is awakened, the picture of the country will change.

The greatest achievement of the Congress party which has a history of 125 years and an experience of six decades of rule in this country, is corruption, he said. The Bharatiya Janata Party, which claims itself as the most patriotic, transparent and disciplined party has succeeded in breaking all the records of Congress in corruption in a very short period, he added. “The Communist party, which is considered as the official voice of working class people and poor, too showed it’s corrupt and cruel face when it came to power in states like Kerala and West Bengal. People of the country have had a similar experience during the reign the other regional parties in their respective states,” Kunnhi said adding that the only option left before the people of the country is to establish a God-fearing rule. Only God-fearing rulers can give good, transparent and honest administration, he said and urged that the people of all faiths to come forward and hold a healthy dialogue to establish a divine rule.

Esha Vithaladasa Samiji, the chief pontiff of Saandeepini Saadhanashrama, Kemaru Kshetra stimulated the gathering through his humour-rich speech. VN Prakash, Secretary, Auto Rickshaw Drivers Union, Mangalore, Rohini K, social activist and Abdussalam U were among those present. Shahid M welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks. The theme songs sung by Bantwal based Tharikita troupe, were appreciated by the audience.
