New Delhi, 26 Feb. 2023: A consultative meeting of the interfaith leaders was held today at the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Headquarters to deliberate on the role of religious leadership in establishing justice and peace in the society.

The consultative meeting was attended by leaders of different religions including Shri Goswami Sushil Maharaj, founder of Bhartiya Sarva Dharma Sansad, Mr. Vrajendra Nandan Das, Mr.BK Husain, Swami Servanand Saraswati, Father Felix SJ, Father Stanley Kozchichira, Father Sabestian, Shri Giani Ranjit Singh, Shri Gurminder Singh, Mr. Kabir Saxena, Mr. Vishnu Bhushun Jain, Mr. Veer Singh Hitkari, Dr. Rahul Das, Mr. Ezekiel Isaac Malekar, Mr. Vijay Rai, Dr. AK Merchant, Sister Neelakshi, JIH President Syed Sadatullah Husaini, JIH Vice President Prof. Salim Engineer, JIH Secretary Maulana Mohammad Iqbal Mullah and JIH Assistant Secretary, Mr. Waris Husain.

The interfaith leaders stressed on the need to maintain amity, brotherhood and unity in the country. They collectively denounced the communal hatred and violence.
