New Delhi, 24 Sep 2015: On the eve of the Eid al-Adha (going to be celebrated in the country on 25th Sep), Mohammad Salim Engineer, Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has issued this message.

At the outset, I express my deep sorrow at the Mina stampede in Mecca in which more than 700 Hajis were reportedly killed and 800 others wounded. I offer my deep condolences to their families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.

On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, I wish the Muslim Ummah, all countrymen and non-Muslims in the entire world. I pray to Allah to accept our worships and sacrifices and lead us onto the path of Prophet Ibrahim.

On this occasion, let’s pledge to dedicate ourselves to Allah, to follow the orders of Allah in the entire life. The way we offer sacrifice of our animals, let’s vow, to sacrifice our personal urges. On this occasion, we should take care of our poor and needy brothers and sisters and include them in our happiness and also take care of the oppressed people and their families.

On this occasion, let’s pray for the release of the innocents languishing in jails in false cases and take care of their families. We should also pray for all the Muslims facing trials in the entire world.

Today democracy is considered as a means to bring a change in the public system but in some Muslim countries, the march of Islam, even through democracy, is being obstructed. And wherever a change takes place, it is being crushed through conspiracies. Let’s pray for the end of these conspiracies. Let’s pray for unity in the Ummah.

While celebrating Eid and offering our animal sacrifices we should take special care that non-Muslims living in our locality do not face any difficulty. We should maintain cleanliness – this is part of our Imaan.

We should pray to Allah to keep our sacrifices from riya (show) and accept them. Amen!

Spread the love
