Introduce Moral Values into Education: Syed Jalaluddin Umari

November 26, 2011

Gaya, Bihar: Nov 26: Education without moral values is creating chaos in our society. In our corruption-rid society 75 per cent people involved in corruption cases are educated and even well-educated. So the need of the hour is to introduce moral values into education. This view was expressed by Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, while presiding over the Award for Academic Excellence-2011 programme held at Shatabdi Public School here today. “This is the only way we can bring an end to corruption and the country can progress by leaps and bounds,” the JIH chief added.

One hundred meritorious students of Gaya were awarded by Human Welfare Foundation. Each student was given award, mementos and cash prize in the award programme.
Human Welfare Foundation, a national NGO, has been working for educational, economical and social uplift of the minority community. It has been celebrating Award for Academic Excellence programmes since 2009. In 2009 it organised the award programmes in four states of India and this year at 15 places, including Katihar.

The purpose of organising Award for Academic Excellence every year is to encourage meritorious Muslim students so that they can do better in their respective careers.
