Jamaat condemns US Gurudawara shooting and Mosque Burning incidents

August 9, 2012

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has very strongly condemned the shooting and killing of six persons in Wisconsin Gurudawara and called it an inhuman and atrocious act.

Jamaat Secretary General Mr. Nusrat Ali in a statement today called it an act of oppression and terrorism. Expressing his grave concern, he said that in a country like America, which swears by democracy, this attitude of targeting the places of worship of other religions is improper and unacceptable. He demanded the US government to take appropriate action.

Jamaat has also condemned the burning of Islamic Centre mosque in Joplin, Missouri and asked Obama administration to take strong steps against such fanatic acts so that an end can be put to conspiracies to promote hate between followers of different religions.
