Ranchi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Jharkhand State is going to run a 10-day educational awareness campaign from 22 March to 31 March across the state. Jamaat aims to make 10% increase to the present strength of students in schools. The campaign will be run in collaboration with Al-Manar Educational Foundation which runs such campaign every year.
To educate and train new generation according to Islamic education system has been the target of Tahreek-e Islami from the day one. Major part of its activities has focused on removing educational backwardness from the society by creating awareness about education. Poverty and illiteracy are rampant in Jharkhand, the most backward state of the country. In this context, Jamaat has felt the need to make education a live issue and put its challenges the people, says a circular issued by Dept. of Education, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Jharkhand.
During the campaign, importance of education and right approach to education will be explained. It will remove educational backwardness and motivate dropouts to resume education.
JIH Jharkhand has set a target of making an increase of 10% in the strength of students in educational institutions. It has urged all units in the state to arrange for fee, books and dress for 10 most deserving students.
