New Delhi, April 03: The mid-term session of Majlis-e Numaindagan (House of Representatives) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind began on Sunday (April 02) with keynote speech of Ameer-e Jamaat (National President) Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari here at the headquarters of the Jamaat. The four-day session will conclude on April 05.
Some 146 elected representatives from across the country including 22 women are attending the session. The Numaindagan (representatives) are elected for four years and the internal assessment session is held every two years.
During the four-day session, progress report of two years would be deliberated upon and corrective measures would be taken following the discussion to achieve the targets of the term in next two years.
Next session of Majlis-e Numaindagan will be held in April 2019.
