New Delhi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Vice-President, Professor Mohammad Salim Engineer has expressed deep condolences over the death of former Attorney General of India Soli Jehangir Sorabjee.

In a condolence message, the JIH Vice-President said, “the death of Sorabjee is a great loss for the people of India at a time when India needs such people the most.” In a tweet, he called Sorabjee a great advocate of, justice, democracy, human rights and human dignity, an honour for Indians.

Sorabjee died 30th April 2021 in a hospital in Delhi, where he was undergoing treatment for Covid-19. He was 91.
