Senior Jamaat leader and former Ameer e Halaqa of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha – Khawaja Arifuddin passes away

Hyderabad, July 21 – The former Zonal President (Ameer e Halaqa) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Andhra Pradesh & Odisha – Khwaja Arifuddin expired yesterday evening. He was also the National Secretary for Social Service at Markaz in the previous term of Jamaat.

An extremely dynamic personality and speaker par excellence, Khwaja Arifuddin was associated with the Islamic Movement since his youth. Hailing from the town of Warangal, Telangana, he played an active role in the establishment of Jamaat-e-Islami’s student organization SIO and also led it at the state and central level. He performed various responsibilities from Unit President, State Secretary, and of Ameer-e-Halqa of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. At the local level also he was engaged in various social, welfare and educational activities.

He was a member of Telangana State Majlis-e-Shura and Markazi Majlis e Numaindagan. His demise has created a huge vacuum in the Jamaat. The President (Ameer e Jamaat) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Janab Syed Sadatullah Hussaini, the Secretary-General (Qayyim e Jamaat), Janab T. Arif Ali and other office bearers of Jamaat offered their condolences and prayers of forgiveness for him. We all pray to Almighty Allah to accept his services, forgive him, and grant Sabr-e-Jameel to the bereaved family.
