New Delhi, 01 April 2015: The 5-day session of the Majlis-e Numaindgan (House of Representatives) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind began with the inaugural speech of Ameer-e Jamaat (National President) Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari today here at the headquarters of the Jamaat.
The session would discuss the projects of Jamaat taken at all levels in the last two years. Another important agenda of this session is to elect Ameer-e Jamaat for a period of four years (2015 -2019). The Markazi Majlis-e Shura’s (National Advisory Council) proposals, if any, related to amendments in Jamaat’s constitution would also be discussed. The session would conclude on 5th April.
The Majlis would also discuss some important national, international and community issues. After the discussions, the resolutions will be passed by the House.
The session is being chaired by Ameer-e Jamaat Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari.
The House meets after every two years and at present has 144 members from all over the country, including 22 women members.
