New Delhi, 05 April: Renowned researcher, writer and Islamic scholar of global fame, Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari has been elected Ameer (National President) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind for third consecutive term. Maulana Umari was elected by Jamaat’s 144-member highest body Markazi Majlis-e Numanidgan (House of Representatives) after thorough deliberations on all aspects.
Maulana Jalaluddin Umari is a towering leader of Tahreek-e Islami, renowned author and famous speaker. His famous books on academic subjects have been published in almost all major languages of India and become popular. Those books have also been translated into English, Arabic and Turkish languages.
Maulana Umari is Vice President of Indian Muslims’ united and umbrella body All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Founder Member of Muslim Majlis-e Mushawarat and holds higher positions in various national and international institutions. without doubt mr.umri is a well recognized leader and scholar in the muslim world.he with his terrific fidelity in representing the thought and ethos of islam is a guiding beacon for amateur scholars of islam.being elected as amire jamaat for the third time consecutively is a tribute to his decade long consistency in marching towards the goals and ideals of islam.however times demand us to observe rationality and wisdom in commiting a person repeatedly to a position which constantly demands the comprehensive comprehension of the changes that both human and non human world (environment) is undergoing.the rapid nature of the change in present times adds to the difficulty in comprehending the environment and their is a possibility of more rapidity in environmental change in future.
Although humans acquire the abilities to cope with the change but at a slower rate than the rate of change of environment.one of the specific reason being that the nature of the environment follows certain laws which allows it to show tremendous plasticity or flexibility.same is not the case with human brain and conscience(intelligence) which acts on the principle of volantary control. That is where the basic sciences and technology comes to aid and awaken humans from deep regretful state.basic sciences confers us the ability to observe the environment and offer fresh perspectives regarding its dynamic nature and comprehension.inturn this helps us in developing novel technologies and strategies to deal with the changing environment in a just manner.
To our misfortune mr.umri has been lacking in proposing fresh perspectives based on basic sciences and research,probably becoz of his academic background and its constraints.islamic has innate tendency to be global not only in attitude but in reach too.(iqra bismi rabbikalazi khalq…..surah aliqra)
