New Delhi, September 24: Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari, Ameer (National President) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind while expressing deep concerns has strongly condemned the ban imposed by an Egyptian court on Ikhwanul Muslimoon (Muslim Brotherhood). He termed the ban as a brutal act by illegal usurper of power in Egypt and appealed to all peace-loving and pro-democracy people and governments of the world to protest against this state terror and oppressive attitude.

In a media statement on Tuesday, Ameer-e Jamaat said the military government has got exposed with this step. They are not just against Islam, they are in fact enemy of Islam and by banning Ikhwan they are infact imposing ban on Islam and following the diktats of capitalist and zionist forces. Maulana further said the history of Ikhwan is replete with sacrifices for Deen and the nation. Therefore, a ban on such organization is a clear attack on the well-wishers of Egypt, dishonour to their sacrifices. This should be condemned in strongest terms.

Ameer-e Jamaat has appealed to champions of human rights, peace and justice to raise their voice to end this great injustice and to fulfil the requirements of justice and restore the toppled government of President Dr. Mohammad Morsi.
