A number of writers, readers, literary persons, intellectuals, social and political leaders including Mr. Akhil Gogoi, MLA and President of Raijor Dal, Mrs. Angur Lata Deka, former MLA and state chief of the Mahila Morcha, Bharatiya Janata Party, Assam Pradesh and Mr. Pankaj Borthakur, Controller of Examination, Assam Higher Secondary Board of Assam visited the stall of the Islamic publication house. One of the JIH Assam officials informed that they sold a large number of Islamic books and literatures. He said that the Assamese translation of the Holy Quran was the bestselling book from the stall and many non-Muslims also purchased it. He added that several copies of Assamese translation of the Quran were also distributed among non-Muslim brothers and sisters along with some leaflets on basic teaching of Islam.
