GIO QURAN RECITATION COMPETITION “THARTHEEL 12” CAME TO AN END

Kozhikode: “Thartheel”-All Kerala  Quran Recitation competition conducted by Girls Islamic Organisation Kerala ended in grand style at Nalanda Auditorium Kozhikode. Nuha Abduraheem (Eranakulam) was declared as the best “Qaria’”. Sumayya V.I. (Eranakulam) bagged the second prize and Rafeeha Abdul Khader (Kannur) came third. This contest exclusively for girls is the first of its kind in Kerala. 3000 participants competed at the regional level contest held in October 2 were shortlisted to  600 for the secondary level. 34 winners at the secondary level participated in the final held in 20-10-12  at K.M.A Auditorium. The winners were selected from this final 10 participants and they respectively received 25000,15000 and 10000 as cash prizes.

Jama’athe Islami Woman Wing Tamil Nadu State president Faqira Ateeqa after inaugurating “Thartheel 12” opined that Quran should be the inspiration for the spiritual as well as scholarly progress. She expressed her hope of GIO’s role in being the spokespersons of a new era which understands the actual essence of Quran and their part in transforming creativity out of this Holy Book. Faqira Ateeqa, Nasira Khanam, K.K. Zuhara, K.N. Sulaikha, M.K.Suhaila and P.Ruksana, distributed the prizes to the participants of the screening. The judges of the mega final were renowned “Qarius” like Shafeeudheen (Bihar), Muhammed Asa’ed Yusufi (Uttar Pradesh), Mahamoud Alam (Bihar), Abdulla Karuvamboyil and Muhammed Perumayil.

Sidrathul Muntaha and Naba Sherin sang in the musical programme which held after the competition. Presided over by GIO State President M.K. Suhaila, Jama’athe Islami Central Committee Member Nasira Khanam inaugurated the session. She was of the opinion that it is the beauty in its recitation that always makes Quran unique from other holy books and Quran is the guide and light for mankind of all time. Jama’athe Islami Kerala Ameer T.Arifali after declaring the winners of “Thartheel 12” said that there were no such genuine efforts before, to find out and promote the real talents in Quran recitation of girls in Kerala. He added that this competition will be the beginning of so many other beginnings. Jama’athe Islami Kerala Assistant Ameer Sheikh Muhammed Karakkunnu in his keynote address prompted this venture of GIO as a historical land mark. Dignitaries like Woman League state President Qamarunnisa Anwar, MGM President Qadeeja Nargeez, Jama’athe Islami state Secretary K.K. Zuhara, Solidairty State General Secretary T. Muhammed Velom, Quran Study Center State Coordinator  Aakkod Abdul Qadar, Jama’athe Islami Woman Wing President K.N.Sulaikha, SIO State General Secretary Sameer Alappuzha, and Jama’athe Islami Kozhikode District President Khalid Moosa Nadwi addressed to wish the session.

    It is very good to hear that Gio conducted quran recitation competition thartheel. It is absolutely an immense effort from Gio. May Allah forgive our transgression with his kind.
