New Delhi, 16 May 2014: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has strongly condemned the killing of three innocent Muslim youths in police firing in Hyderabad following the violence created in the garb of burning of a flag in Arsh Mahal locality of the Andhra Pradesh capital. Jamaat has termed the firing as wrong, unnecessary and irresponsible act of paramilitary force. Jamaat has demanded the government to order a high-level inquiry into the incident, punish the culprits and award proper compensation to the victims.

Nusrat Ali, Secretary General of Jamaat, expressed surprise over the fact that mischievous elements and personnel of paramilitary forces were doing the irresponsible acts but the local police remained mute spectator. It is highly condemnable.

He called upon the government to give proper attention on establishing peace and save the society from getting chaotic. He expressed condolences and sympathy with family members of the deceased and injured people and also those who suffered financial losses due to the violence.
