Jamaat e Islami Hind condemns the burning of two Dalit children, backs collegium system for Supreme Court

The Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind – Engineer Mohammed Salim has condemned the burning of two Dalit children in Faridabad. Jamaat had few days back asked for CM ManoharLalKhattar to be sacked as he had made some derogatory comments against Indian Muslims. Now with this incident it seems that the Haryana CM has lost control over the administration and law and order machinery and should therefore be immediately dismissed by his party. Engineer Salim demanded that a compensation of Rs 40 lakhs be paid to the parents of the deceased children. A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has paid a visit to the family in Faridabad and offered condolence and support.

The Secretary General of Jamaat welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court to uphold the present collegium system of appointing judges. He expressed the hope that all the people’s representatives and justice-loving people will play a positive role in protecting the just and independent character of our judiciary.
