Jamaat-e-Islami Hind President greets fellow countrymen on Eid-ul-Fitr

April 24, 2023

New Delhi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) President Syed Saadatullah Husaini has greeted fellow citizens on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In his Eid message, wishing everyone a very happy Eid-ul-Fitr from the bottom of his heart, the JIH President has prayed to Allah that this Eid brings the message of happiness, peace, and justice for Muslims, our country, the people of our country, and all the people of the world. He said, “Eid-ul-Fitr is an occasion of joy and happiness. Allah has made this day the biggest day of celebration of the year. It is the Sunnah of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to celebrate this day as an occasion of gratitude and joy.”

Mr Husaini said, “Some people talk about grief and anguish even on this happy occasion. They recall the various unpleasant incidents and instances of oppression and injustice in the world and say “how can we celebrate in such dire conditions?” The fact remains that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) celebrated Eid as an occasion of gratitude and joy in all the stages of his life, whether he was troubled or at ease. Allah revealed the Qur’an in this blessed month and gave the light of guidance to humanity.  The Quran teaches humanity the correct way of life, guides one’s thoughts and consciousness in the right direction, and gives peace of heart and mind to those contemplating its verses and teachings. This is a great reward for which the servants of Allah celebrate Eid as an expression of gratitude and thanksgiving.”

The JIH President said, “In this holy month of Ramadan, we received training to follow the teachings of the Quran. For an entire month, we strengthened our willpower and self-control through worship, austerity, and the control of our inner urges.  We trained ourselves to avoid every obstacle that hinders us from misguidance, waywardness and walking on the straight path. We kept away from provocations distracting us from moving toward our goal. Eid-ul-Fitr is a celebration of the completion of this training.”

The JIH leader said, “Wherever Allah mentions fasting in the Quran, He emphasizes that He does not want to burden His servants but wants to put them at ease. If Allah wanted, He could have extended Ramadan for the entire course of one’s life. Allah could have made fasting obligatory for all 365 days of the year. However, Allah wants to make life easy for humanity. Allah has therefore bestowed only one month of this training and told us that it is not difficult to follow His order. The objective of Ramadan is to live the remaining eleven months of the year according to the Will of Allah as we spent the blessed month. If we continue to fulfill the commandments of the Holy Quran and the requirements of Ramadan, then InshaAllah we will get success and happiness at every turn of life in this world as well as in the Hereafter.” Mr. Husaini prayed to Allah to make the auspicious day of Eid al-Fitr a source of success for all of us in the world and the Hereafter. Aamin
