New Delhi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) President Syed Sadatullah Husaini has asked the Muslims to launch a mass campaign for winning the hearts and minds of the common people.

Addressing a public meeting held at Abul Fazal Enclave, New Delhi, the JIH President said, “in the history, our heroes are those who win forts, but in the present difficult situation which we all are facing, our heroes will be the ones who win hearts and minds.” He told the gathering that minds are won by building relationships, dispelling misunderstandings and conveying the right message, while hearts are won by serving the people selflessly, solving their problems, and becoming useful for them. Mr.Husaini advised the Muslim that the most important task to be carried out in the present hateful atmosphere is to stick to the basic principles of Islam and establish a good relationship with the fellow countrymen to change their mind and remove hatred. He urged the Muslim youths to try to create such an atmosphere in the country in the next five years in which the medium or source of the other countrymen’s knowledge about Islam should be their Muslim friends, not the media.

Advising Muslims that the present challenging situation demands them to strengthen their faith Mr.Husaini affirmed that Allah, the Almighty who turned the blind well and the hardships of the prison into ladders of throne of Egypt for Prophet Yusuf (PBUH), the same Lord of the universe, would certainly make our future better, through our ongoing trials and sufferings.

Commenting that the communal and anti-Islamic forces always use all tricks to drift away Muslims from their goals, the JIH President has exhorted the Indian Muslims to be torchbearers of truth and justice in the country and continue to carry out their duty of spreading the message of Islam while remaining firm in their faith.

JIH is completing 75 years of its formation and various programmes and activities are being conducted throughout the country to mark this occasion.
