Parliament-incident-shameful,-guilty-should-be-punished

New Delhi, 13 Feb 2014: While expressing concern over uncivilized, violent, immoral and illegal actions of some Members of Parliament during a discussion in Lok Sabha on Thursday, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has condemned the incident and demanded the government to take stern legal action against the guilty after assessing the whole incident impartially and fairly.

Mr. Nusrat Ali, General Secretary, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind said that though media has been highlighting as to how many elected members of parliament and assemblies have criminal records and which parties they belong to, yet it is not expected that these members, rather than putting their viewpoints with logics and in a civilized way, would resort to such methods which tarnish the prestige of parliament.

Mr. Nusrat Ali further said that today’s shameful and terrorising incident in parliament invites all political parties and countrymen to consider good lifestyle, good conduct and high moral behaviour as parameters to elect candidates; otherwise parliament and democracy would face such dangers again and again and the country will be ashamed before the world.
