New Delhi, 24 Aug 2015: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has termed as mischievous the improper publication of the Haj Committee advisory over banned items during Haj trip. While strongly condemning it, Jamaat has advised the Ministry of External Affairs to refrain from such uncivilized and painful steps and their improper publicity as it hurts sentiments of the Muslim community.
Mohammad Salim Engineer, Secretary General of Jamaat said that the way news about a banned drug and pornography literature has been published, it is tarnishing the sanctity of the pious worship like Haj and the 1.5 lakh Hajis who go from India.
He further said that before Haj trip, several religious institutions organize training camps for Hajis where they are briefed with rules and regulations of the journey and generally, Haji aspirants themselves get aware of these things. In that context, linking them with those banned items and inappropriate publication of the news are highly condemnable.
The Secretary General of the Jamaat has congratulated all those selected for Haj this year and urged them to pray in Ka’ba for safety and honour of the Deen and establishment of justice and peace in the entire world including our own country India.
