New Delhi, 01 Nov 2014: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind on Saturday called upon the central government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fulfil pre-poll promises of development, progress and ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas and rein in leaders of the ruling BJP who are vitiating the atmosphere of the country by issuing hateful communal statements.
“A large section of the Indians is influenced by the slogan of development, progress and ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’. They have new hopes and are waiting for new prospects…They are waiting to see progress in the fields of health and education. But up to now there is no discernible progress in these fields. The present government should shun sloganeering and introduction of schemes of popular appeal only, and give attention to concrete actions,” said Jamaat at the monthly press briefing today here at the headquarters of the Jamaat.
The press conference was addressed by Amir (National President) Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Omari, Secretary General Nusrat Ali and secretaries Ejaz Ahmed Aslam and Mohammad Ahmed.
