Statement by the Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind on the Supreme Court judgment on triple talaq
22 Aug, New Delhi: Responding to the Supreme Court judgment today setting aside instant triple talaq, the Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Muhammad Salim Engineer said that: ‘’we stand with the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) on this issue. The Board is going to meet in Bhopal on the 10th September. Till that time Jamaat along with the AIMPLB will be studying the judgment. We will be able to comment on the judgment only thereafter’’.
